Bastrop County OEM works with the Commissioner's Court to administer the County's Emergency Medical Service Agreement.  Acadian is the exclusive provider for emergency medical ambulance services in Bastrop County, including the city limits of Elgin, Smithville and Bastrop.

Bastrop County OEM also serves as a liaison between the Bastrop County First Responders, Elgin First Responders, and County government.
