The County's Purchasing office exist to provide the best service possible to all County Departments in a fair and equitable manner and to protect the interests of the Bastrop County Taxpayers in all expenditures. Included in this responsibility is assuring fair and equitable treatment to all vendors without regard to political pressure or discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, handicap, or sex. In an effort to provide a fair place for all vendors interested in doing business with Bastrop County, vendors are encouraged to register with the Bastrop County Purchasing Agent or designee prior to contacting/meeting with any elected official, department head or employee of Bastrop County.

Vendor Registration

Bastrop County is upgrading its vendor management and bid request automated system and would greatly appreciate your help with this process. Please feel free to contact the Purchasing Department should you have any questions. Thank you again for your help with this process. Please complete 2 steps below.

Step 1: Can be done through utilization of the county's website and/or contacting the Bastrop County Purchasing Department directly.  You may download the Vendor Forms by clicking on the link. Please complete all 4 forms. You may send this information via email or mail, addresses listed at the left side of the page.

Step 2:  Please click on the link below and follow the instructions to register as a vendor. This will allow Bastrop County to have a cloud based database for all vendors and would allow us to search more accurately for vendors that meet bid request criteria. https://www.publicpurchase.com/

Bid Opportunities

Formal bids are normally advertised on Wednesdays in the Elgin Courier. These bids are also posted on our Bid Opportunities page linked at left. Formal bids or bid notices are mailed to vendors registered with Bastrop County.
