The Bastrop County Office of Emergency Management provides leadership, coordination and support for efforts to prevent, prepare for, respond to, recover from and mitigate against threatened or actual natural and man-made disasters and acts of terrorism.

Emergency Notification System

The Capital Area Council of Governments and its partners offer an emergency notification system to residents of Central Texas. Registering with WarnCentralTexas allows local officials to contact their communities by phone, email and text during times of disasters or public safety events. These notifications can be generated geographically specific.  By registering, you determine the time and method of notifications.

Stay tuned to your local news channels for weather updates or tune in to a NOAA Weather radio. Also, register with WarnCentralTexas.

The Bastrop County Office of Emergency Management will utilize these same warning colors on the Bastrop County OEM Facebook emergency posts.
