Sheriff's Office Online Reporting
200 Jackson Street | Bastrop, Texas 78602 | (512) 549-5100
If you have an emergency, call 9-1-1 immediately!
Welcome to the Bastrop County Sheriff's Office Online Offense Reporting page. The purpose of this is to allow Bastrop County citizens to conveniently file offense reports from home, work, or anywhere with internet access. This should NEVER be used to report an emergency, a crime in progress, or any type of injury. Once we receive the reporting form, a Deputy or Investigator will review the incident, obtain a case number, and email it to you. Remember, these are non-emergency cases, so they will be handled on a lower priority basis.
Before continuing, you should be aware that it is a crime to make a false police report or to provide false information.
You may only use this form if:
- You have access to a valid, functioning e-mail account
- You are the actual victim of the offense (NOT a witness, relative, friend, etc.)
- There were no injuries
- The crime occurred in the unincorporated areas of Bastrop County (outside the city limits of Elgin, Bastrop, Smithville)
- There is no evidence at the scene, such as burglary tools or fingerprints, which needs to be collected by deputies
- The total amount of loss is LESS than $2,500.00
You may NOT use this form to report a stolen vehicle!
You may only use this form for the following offenses:
