If you own property that was damaged as a result of the Hidden Pines Fire it is imperative that you register with the Volunteer Reception Center for cleanup and dangerous tree removal assistance immediately.  This includes cutting down trees that are threatening to fall on your undamaged home in the burn area as a result of the fire. There are currently volunteer organizations that are here that can do this work for you at no charge, but they will only be here for another couple of weeks. To sign up for this assistance you can go to the VRC located at 108 Main Street in Smithville from 8 am to 6 pm Monday thru Friday of this week. You can also call 512-931-1154 or email to Bastroprelief2015@gmail.com.

Bastrop County Long Term Recovery Team     The Bastrop County Long Term Recovery Team is assisting with immediate needs, cleanup and recovery. If you are a fire survivor and need assistance please contact 512-521-3001. To volunteer to help you can sign up at www.bcltrt.org or go to the volunteer reception center located at 108 Main Street in Smithville starting on 10/22. Monetary donations can be made online at www.bcltrt.org or can be mailed to BCLTRT at P.O. Box 1975, Bastrop, TX 78602.

Do you have food to dispose of?

Residents affected by the #HiddenPinesFire can take spoiled food to dumpsters that are being provided by Bastrop County. Please double bag the refuse and ensure that it is securely sealed to prevent leakage and odor. The dumpsters are located at: 
  • Hwy 71 & Cottletown Road
  • Antioch Road & Gotier Trace Road
