NOTICE OF MEETING

BASTROP COUNTY COMMISSIONERS COURT

 

Pursuant to Section 551, Texas Government Code, the Bastrop County Commissioners Court will meet in Regular Session, Monday, July 22, 2013 at 9:00 A.M. in the Commissioners Courtroom, Second Floor, 804 Pecan St. Bastrop, Texas.

 

1.    Call to order and prayer.

2.    Allegiance to the Flags. (Texas Pledge:  Honor the Texas flag; I pledge allegiance to thee, Texas, one state under God, one and indivisible).

3.    Citizen comments.

4.    Approve minutes of previous meeting(s).

5.    Approve payment of bills and Treasurer’s Report.

6.    Department report; Approve bonds.

7.    Update to Court on Upstart Bastrop, Community Television;  Donald Barron

8.    Discussion and possible action re:  court action regarding prohibition of outdoor burning;  Mike Fisher

9.    Discussion and possible action re:  request from Sheriff’s Office to reclassify personnel slot number CO31 from a Corrections Officer IV position to a position title of Jail Programs and Projects Coordinator at the currently budgeted salary;  Sheriff Pickering

10.  Discussion and possible action re:  approve Professional Services Agreement with Tyler Technologies for e-citations;  Lisa Smith

11.  Discussion and possible action re:  approval of the road name assignment “Rabbit Trl.” to the private joint use access at 887 Union Chapel Rd, Pct. 3; Julie Sommerfeld

12.  Discussion and possible action re:  approval of the road name assignment “Aguila Trl.” to the private joint use access at 197 Jacobson Rd, Pct. 3; Julie Sommerfeld

13.   Discussion and possible action re:  pursuant to Texas Transportation Code Chapter 251, discontinue county maintenance of a portion of Grey Oak Dr., Pct. 1; Julie Sommerfeld

14.  Discussion and possible action re:  approve LPHCP Implementing Agreement for Rubalcaba property;  Colton Stabeno

15.  Public Hearing 9:30:  in accordance with Texas Transportation Code Chapter 251,                       a) establishing a speed limit establishing speed limit of 35 mph for Bateman Road from Pettytown Road to Highway 20.  The speed limit for the portion of Bateman Road east of Pettytown Road is proposed at 25 mph, Precinct 3                           b) establishing speed limit of 35 mph for Bartsch Lane for the portion between Sand Hills Lane and Watterson Road in Precinct 3

16.  Discussion and possible action re:  set speed limit of 35 mph for the portion of Bateman Road from Pettytown Road to Highway 20 and to set a speed limit of 25 mph for the portion of Bateman Road east of Pettytown Road.  Bateman Road is located in Precinct 3;  Commissioner Klaus

17.  Discussion and possible action re:  set speed limit of 35 mph for the portion of Bartsch lane between Sand Hills Lane and Watterson Road.  Bartsch Lane is located in Precinct 3;  Commissioner Klaus

18.  Discussion and possible action re:  request approval to hire Integral Performance Solutions as consultants for procurement of Emergency Management Services;  Krystel Burton

19.  Discussion and possible action re: approval to request bids for Phase 5 of the Stony Point Wastewater Collection Project;  Krystel Burton

20.  Discussion and possible action re: approval to award the Culverts, Emulsified Asphalt and Hot & Cold Mix bids;  Krystel Burton

21.  Discussion and possible action re:  pursuant to Section 232.008 in the Local Government Code, establishing a Public Hearing on August 26, 2013 at 9:30 a.m. to vacate Reserve Block A, Chigger Bite Ranch (a two lot subdivision); Owner: Charles Russell; Precinct 3; Sonia Thomas

22.  Discussion and possible action re:  approval of Amended Plat of Lot 10, Rainbow East with variance to Bastrop County Interim Subdivision Regulations, section VII.3.a.(2); Precinct 3; Owner: Ruben Escobar; Surveyor:  Barrera Land Surveying;  Sonia Thomas

23.  Discussion and possible action re:  approval of Final Plat of Norwood Lane Subdivision; divide 25 lots out of 22.5093 acre tract; Precinct 4; Owners: Vance Naumann and Pedro Alfonso;  Surveyor: Crichton and Associates Land Surveyors;  Sonia Thomas

24.  Discussion and possible action re:  approve committee to review applications and interview for  County Engineer and bring recommendation to Court;  Judge Pape

25. Adjourn.

 

The Commissioners Court reserves the right to adjourn into Executive Session at any time during the course of this meeting to discuss any matters listed on the agenda, as authorized by the Texas Government Code, including, but not limited to, Sections 551.017 (Consultation with Attorney), 551.072 (Deliberations about Real Property), 551.073 (Deliberations about Gifts and Donations), 551.074 (Personnel Matters), 511.076 (Deliberations about Security Devices), 551.087 (Economic Development), 418.183 (Deliberations about Homeland Security Issues) and as authorized by the Texas Tax Code, including, but not limited to, Section 321.3022 (Sales Tax Information.)
