Tax Office Relocation

The Main Tax Office is being relocated:

The main tax office of Bastrop County Tax Assessor/Collector Linda Harmon at the Courthouse, 804 Pecan Street in Bastrop, will be closed to the public on Friday, February 14th in preparation for moving to a new location.  Our tax offices in Cedar Creek, Elgin and Smithville will be open for business as usual on Friday.  Anyone can conduct any official tax-related business at any of these field offices.

The main Tax Office will reopen for business at its new location, 211 Jackson Street in Bastrop (across from the Central Appraisal District and County Jail), on Tuesday, February 18.  Two new features of that location will be a drive-through teller (just like the bank or pharmacy) and a drive-by drop box (like at the post office).  We hope you will enjoy the convenience and benefits of these additions.  There will be several tellers available for those who want to go inside.

Thank you for your patience with us as we make these improvements.
